Always love bringing visitors here to ciao italia – always reliable and delicious and the service friendly and quick! Brought my friends here last night and surprised we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table in peak hour at 7:30pm! We had their garlic bread, spaghetti marinara, lasagna, chili mussels, porcini pizza and tiramisu. Delicious! Portion sizes were generous and we just managed to finish everything! Cant wait to return again 🙂
3.5. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Garlic bread was nice. Porcini pizza was tasty, love the truffle oil, whilst siciliana pizza was ok. The spaghetti marinara was nice as was the fettuccini ciao italia. Also ordered the linguine allo salerno with a combination of chilli tomato and rose sauce, not sure I should have mixed the sauces as I think it would’ve been better with either one or the other. Tiramisu was delicious, although perhaps had more cream than I usually like.
Had a superb Italian dinner with my family. Place was super busy as always everyday. Typical Italian Mom and Pop kinda restaurant managed by family. Fantastic comfort italian cuisine. I dont know if this is a complain or a compliment but the portions were super big. 2 pastas and a Pizza dish were really really more than we could handle. Anyways, its a much recommended place to dine. No reservations. You have to wait in line, but the line goes pretty quick.
If there is anything I regretted from my experience was the fact that the wait staff forgot to mention that the portion is huge..Unfortunately, we decided to not finish our delicious mains (the squid ink pasta and the ginormous pizza) to leave some room for the dessert. The portion is huge, the price is reasonable, and the dessert, especially the tiramisu is amazing.Just make sure you come early to secure a seat as they don’t take reservation.
My oh my how good is the South Perth Ciao Italia! Hilarious authentic Italian experience, so loud, fast service. The pasta options were great and the Napoli sauce a winner this time. Portions are massive, be warned.
With a 4.8 star rating we had to give ciao Italia a go. After seeing a line outside of the restaurant 40 people deep we thought wow this place has to be some of the best pasta going around. I would have to say the pasta is definitely not the best I have had but it is pretty good. Its amazing that a place this busy can keep serving up the standard of food that they do. The portion sizes were ridiculous, we felt like we were attempting some sort of food challenge. The service was good and the food came out relatively quick. The pizza we tried was probably the highlight of our meals, really tasty and with a thin crust. Enjoyed it more than the pasta. All in all a satisfying meal but not a memorable one. Worth a try.
Lovely italian restaurant with friendly and warm service. Do come early to avoid queues as the wait can be up to 30min on weekend. From past experiences, we knew the food portion is huge so we ordered only one plate of spagetti carbonara and garlic bread for 2 person to share and it was just nice. Been here in the past and tried their pizza, chilli mussel and tiramisu and they were so good.
