Went to hopscotch bar today and found the staff totally rude , non helpful , insulting and lazy I dont know it has any rating above 0, and really should close down or hire staff that want to sell drinks and food I dont drink alcohol but the people with me wanted cocktails and the staff where totally incompetent .I asked them if they could clean the table , there where only interesting in talking to each other and so I ended up cleaning it myself Best they change the staff and management Dont waste your time going there unless you want a unpleasant experience

We thought that this was fantastic!I couldn’t decide between the Dirty Crumpets and bacon & eggs. I decided to be daring and ordered the Dirty crumpets – crumpets with toasted marshmellows, pistashio, butterscotch sauce, creme fresh and bananas. The plate looked sensational when it arrived and I liked the the sauce was in a little jug so that I was in control on this. However, I felt that the dish was a bit of a flop. I am a HUGE fan of Gusto’s crumpets, and this sadly is no where near as good as Gusto’s. I felt that the flavours weren’t quite right.My friend had the open omlette and she said that it was fantastic. They happily catered for her GF needs.
Have only been once before about 2 years ago. Beautiful interiors, dim lighting and lovely, classy atmosphere. Went as a last minute choice and expected the same, only to be met with a brightly lit sports bar. The food was ok but nothing to rave about. On arrival the staff member behind the bar looked at us then turned away to keep cleaning whatever she was doing. So disappointing.
Don’t waste your money for their meals. Fried food were too brown and soft, oil needs to be changed. The fish was not fresh! Mussels was off!
Hopscotch is no longer a table service restaurant it has much more or a pub feel to it and is lacking in service. Had to wait a very long time for our meals and they came out sporadically. Food is nice but not worth the wait. Nice for a casual drink.
Service was really terrible and the food over priced. We thought we’d give Hopscotch Bar a try as it looked really hip from outside and is local to us. The first time we tried it the service was lacking, what I ordered was different to the menu as the substituted of elements without letting me know. Food was average and overpriced.Second time we tried it there was only another two tables being used. We we left waiting and it was difficult to get the waiter’s attention to order. After a while we had had enough and decided to leave and go somewhere else. Just disappointing.
Just felt like we had to wait and wait and almost wait on ourselves all night. The food was tasty but our waitresses seemed to know nothing about the menu- and considering I had to get up and approach the bar to place orders, I’m not sure what they’re job was! There was one other table eating at the bar so it’s not like they were too busy to attend us. It was topped off with us requesting what the milky liquid might be (having a pregnant customer at our table- it seemed a legitimate request). Our waitress responded with ‘I don’t know, I just eat it.’ When we asked her to go and find out- she dropped her menu on me! Whoops! Sorry to offend. So much potential, so little customer service. Such a shame- the food was great!
