We ordered 5 serves of snapper and chips for $50. It had to the worst fish and chips I’ve had in my life! The ‘snapper’ (didn’t look or taste like snapper) had an usual colouron the inside and for the $50 I paid, the serving of chips was just enough for two people. Totally disappointed! The location is so convenient but I would much rather go to Coogee Plaza for Fish and Chips – the quality is excellent and from what I recall they don’t use basa!
We ordered two snapper, chips and a portion of onion rings. On first appearance the fish and chips looked great-crispy golden batter & golden chips. However, the batter was pretty greasy, the fish was off, smelled and tasted strange. (hubby is a bit of a fish expert and was also convince it wasn’t snapper that was used). The chips had an odd sweet flavour – like the salt was mixed with sugar or some other sweetener. Sad to say was pretty disappointed with the whole meal.
