Great selection of salad, cheese, sauce, meat and all for a reasonable price. If it wasn’t so far from my house I would come here every day!

I come here maybe 1-2 times a month, love making my own roll. The service is really bad, everytime, no thanks, no smiles. One staff member struggles to cut the roll in half. Other than that I come back for the fresh tasty fillings, yes you can make it all yourself and yes it is just a roll/salad, but it is a good option when you forget your lunch or are over the usual chains or dont eat Mexican. As a regular I would love to see the customer service improve 🙂

Delicious, fresh, love the make-your-own idea, fulfills any need I’ve ever had to work at Subway. Fresh produce and you get more than your money’s worth 🙂 🙂

Great Food, Terrible Customer Service. I have been a satisfied regular customer for some time now, and have always loved the healthy tasty food. However, the last couple of months I have been extremely disappointed with the customer service. It always seems like a huge effort for the staff to serve the customer. The owner is often grumpy and unapproachable, and just today I went with a friend and when she didn’t like the taste of a smoothie, and asked if some kind of swap was possible, she was rudely rejected. Edens needs to significantly improve their attention to customer satisfaction if I’m going to come back; if not they have lost what used to be a loyal customer.

Expensive, but worth it. I love eating here, I used to always eat at the Eden’s in Nedlands, however it is no longer there! It is fairly expensive, however I am okay with that because of the selection of bread, cheese, salad, roasted vegetables, tapenade, sauce and dressings. I figure if I was to buy all the ingredients myself and put in the time to roasting vegetables etc I would probably end up spending around the same amount of money. You probably want to go earlier, rather than later for lunch; they tend to run out of bread and not restock cheese if you get there later.

Such a dirty restaurant.. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to try this out for some time. Self-serve salad bar – what a GREAT concept and perfect neighbourhood to host it. Certainly sounded healthier and more appealing that the congealed, mayo heavy-lettuce light offerings at Sumo Salad. Make Your Own, fresh – love it! I wanted this to be my new lunch spot so badly but… It was about 2:00 or so on a weekday afternoon when I popped in. There were four staff on, only two existing customers enjoying their salads and yet the place was SO DAMN DIRTY I had to do a double take. Salad bits and dressing ALL over the service bar where you create your wrap or salad. Not just a little. It was just covered in salad droppings and crap. The tongs that multiple people had served themselves with, resting handle-first IN several dishes right in the food. (Gross!) So I avoided those options on hygiene-factor alone. Which didn’t leave a lot. Very few items prepped. Just basics like lettuce, carrots, tomato, and some random stuff like jalapeos, potato salad and olives. The chicken is of the lowest quality money can buy – that watery, shaved, quivering, gelatinous pale pink stuff in mass bags that barely can be identified as chicken. I skipped the dressing as it was sitting out warm on the counter for who knows how long. So, it really didn’t leave a lot. While I can appreciate it was a bit later in the day, they didn’t seem to have prep ready – even with four staff on? Really? So then I paid (about $13, reasonable enough) and went outside to take a seat. It was just so totally filthy – see pictures. And beyond that the furnishings – seats, tables, booths – were in need of a really good scouring or altogether replacement. Everything was cheap, sticky, tired and kind of worn out. Paint peeling. That sort of thing. Not in a cool vintage way either. But wait…Hallelujah! Two uniformed waitstaff came out – presumably to wipe tables and bus the old plates and refuse, right? Nope. Both came out to eat food instead. I’m sorry – but having myself worked for over ten years in the service/restaurant trade there is just no way that taking a break in a section with filthy, forgotten plates, dirty napkins on the floor and refuse on the un-wiped tables would ever be acceptable service standards. And let’s not forget customers attempting to perch amongst it all. The pained looks on people’s faces were all you needed to know that I was far from the only person feeling grossed out over the unsanitary table selection. Like C’mon. Take the extra five minutes to clean it up, and THEN take your break. In the back room – never amongst customers whilst on shift. But apparently at Eden’s salad bar that’s all perfectly ok. I was pretty shocked. I mean, it was just so grimy – how can someone not notice? One took off up the street for a smoke leaving their own plate on the table. Nice. Sorry Eden, but if that’s customer-facing front of the house then I’d shudder to see the back. I’d sooner eat off the floor of a North-bridge Kebab House at 2:00 am. Damn shame. Great concept – executed dreadfully. Guess it’s back to pre-packed salads at Farmer Jacks again. 🙁
