A little confused when I walked into this place. The counter was at the bar at the back of the premises. The menu is small, they didn’t have any juice (beer on tap and a wide variety of bottled alcohol though!) The food was okay, but the smell and hot plate at the front of the store enticed us. The restaurant is a recipe for a good place, but just isn’t quiet there yet.
Perfect cosy spot for a drink and snack. The cheese board is super generous for the price. Wine is served in beautiful glasses. Subi’s a bit drab these days but I keep coming back for Juanita’s.
Rustic setup. Great atmosphere. Pretty packed on a Friday night. Went with friends but it is a great place to meet new friends as well. Had the platter and everything was gorgeous on the plate.
Fantastic little bar. Had a brilliant Friday evening drinks and charcuterie in this eclectic and fun place. Perth needs more Juanita’s.
This easygoing bar is a winner. The fact that it always looks full is the first clue. But we easily found a spot in the back room where the bar is. Everyone’s friendly, the beer was cold and the $30 platter for two or more people was perfect (chorizo, beautiful soft fresh bread, crackers, delicious cheeses, home pickled gherkin/cucumber thingies, ruby red relish, Castelvetrano olives … ). 10/10Thank you. We’ll be back.
Went for a few drinks last night before dinner up the road. We waited for 40 minutes for our chorizo (like literally, give me a pan and I could cook it in a sec) and bread, which is just silly. I think someone forgot, but then we asked and it still took ages. It was delicious when we did get it, but by then we didn’t really want it. Bummer. I would return anyway because the place is cute.
I absolutely love this tiny tiny bar, and I go out of my way to bring like-minded friends here when we are anywhere near Subiaco. The eclectic atmosphere won’t be to everybody’s taste, but the tiny crowded bar-cum-art-studio feels to me like an almost secret space, shared only by those in the know, and I always feel very at home here.I love the platters which are simple and almost rustic, but exactly right to share with some good friends and good wine. I must admit there is a part of me that almost doesn’t want more people to discover this charming place!
