  If you have a look through my previous reviews, you’ll see I like to stop at country pubs. And the Freemasons Hotel at Toodyay is one of the better ones. I chose some standard pub fare – a steakburger and chips – and thoroughly enjoyed what turned out to be a pretty decent cut of steak that was perfectly cooked. The rest of the burger was exactly what you would expect at this type of venue and the chips were outstanding. The inside bar is a little dark and tired, but sitting outside was very pleasant. I’ll be stopping by again on my next trip through Toodyay.

  beautiful day last saturday, decided to drive to toodyay for lunch at freemasons , 2 seafood platters omg  small plate everything was  covered in a thick batter no  flavour whatsoever  worst meal ever

  Best avoided- incredibly slow service for depressingly poor food. At least there were plenty of cobwebs to count while we were waiting (and yes, we were sitting indoors). But bizarrely they’d found time to put up a Christmas tree – in September!

  First time here and enjoyed a beautiful grilled snapper with lovely crispy chips and fresh salad, and hubby a delicious homemade burger. Couldn’t fault the food. Service was lovely though a little slow with only one bar counter server for food and drinks. Might be frustrating if you’re in a hurry, but if you’re not, can highly recommend from our one experience. Kleptomonica

  Second I’ve visited the Freemason, first time food was fantadtic and on time , today though is another story, chips looked like they’d been cooked in oil six months old and they completely forgot my mates order! Not good
