Having worked as a chef in London I have come to know what’s what. A very poor excuse for a chippy. Chips were cheap variety, short, stubby and tasted of old oil. Fish was a generous portion however not fresh, fish was scarred with freezer burn which only means it hasn’t been stored properly and is old. The portion sizes didn’t make up for the poor quality and use of old past its date oil.
Really good chips, best chips in the area. Good portion sizes, and friendly service. Drinks are cold. Parking is good. This is our first choice for local chips.
I wasn’t expecting much but the only good thing i really have to say is huge portions.Otherwise below average.Cheap chips (stubby and small), batter tasted a little off, fish overcooked and i’m not sure it was gummy.Better fish shops around in the local area.
