Ian. Booked for 5 plus child for 6:30 and waited 1hr 40 for 4 mains to arrive had to ask for the fifth that came out 10 min later. 4 of the five were Luke warm to cold. The crispy fish ordered was no longer crispy. Very disappointed in the whole meal, complained about being cold and late and told, well you have eaten some so it must be ok. Yeh sure what are you going to do send it back, I think we know what happens when that occurs, let alone the wait when we had a 10 month old baby growing restless after being there for 2.5hrs. One of the 5 meals was good and came out hot but fish and chips cold would not have been a good look.On paying the bill voiced my disappointment once more and they gave a discount that equated to 10%, I think they missed the point.
An hour and 45 minutes wait for food, then 2 mains came out cold. Very sad because beautiful meat and fish gone to waste. Felt sorry for waiters as there were a number of very angry tables around us. Will probably be quite a while before we come back.06 Mar, 2015An hour and a 45 minutes wait for food, then 2 mains came out cold. Very sad because beautiful meat and fish gone to waste. Very Disappointed. Went for Friday lunch with a friend. Had been before and thought the place had improved. I ordered the pork roll and it came out floating in gravy so couldn’t even pick it up. The pork was nice but so flooded in gravy it was ridiculous. The roll was burnt underneath. My friend ordered the fish and chips and the fish was a very ordinary flavour. there was no service at all and we had to order at the bar. We ordered at the bar and were asked to wait and take our drinks with us – they couldn’t even bring them to the table. The whole lunch we sat with uncleared plates at our table and no service. The salt shaker didn’t even work! Sad. I was hoping for better as i thought it might have stayed good. It wasn’t even that busy so there was no excuse really. Come on the Cut…sort it out! It could be a great place.18 Jan, 2014Lovely Setting Lovely Lunch. Had lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Great service and exceptional food at good value. Didn’t realize the cut had changed to more reasonable prices and would go again!
Disappointed. We booked to bring our friends for a birthday meal. Must say we were so disappointed, and it ruined our evening. 3 x chicken supreme, served on zucchini and eggplant, eggplant had the toughness and texture of a squash ball, with the zucchini not much better. 1 x grilled fish and chips. Not sure what the fish was, but it was paper thin and burnt, definitely not grilled more like flattened on a hot plate. Needless to say most of the four meals went uneaten. Not on our to do list in the future.
Had lunch here with friends recently. Simple inexpensive menu in pleasant surroundings.
