Happy with the macchiato 1/2 topped today! Using the yahava coffee moka blend! Rich coffee flavour and lingering chocolately finish with subtle bitterness. Made by the New Zealand barista. Thumbs up.
From the outside this place looks vibrant and full of unctuous healthy food and drinks to choose from. With bright coloured chalk board menus on their walls there’s plenty of fresh juices and smoothies to choose from. I didn’t notice any of the usual allergy friendly alternatives on offer such as soya, almond or coconut milk :-(. There’s a huge all day breakfast menu which states gluten free available so I was encouraged that I would be able to eat something :-)). Alas none of the pizzas were gluten free so I opted for a sweet potato and cucumber salad which did the trick. The pizzas were divine and HUGE toppings and size!!
I’m disappointed and hardly surprised after reading the previous review. I asked if they had PayWave and got a lecture about financial security. All the cranky old woman had to say was sorry but no, clearly her customers wants and needs come second to her own insecurity around PayWave technology. The food was good, the young man who served me was great, the pricing was expensive. Being challenged and confronted by an angry old woman at our table was thoroughly unprofessional. Watch out if you ask for PayWave. Never again and happy to tell the world.
Been a regular here since discovering the breakfast burrito sadly I will not be returning. This cafe does not have almond milk so if you have a dairy and soy allergy no coffee for you , no big dealTo most however – Today the lady I can only assume to be the manager (as she is always there ) was so rude to my mum after we finished breakfast regarding her bringing coffee into the cafe that wasn’t from there. Even after mum explaining she needed almond milk due to allergies the worker shamed her and made her take her empty cup away – loudly and rudley in front of the whole cafe. This is discrimination against people with allergies. Too bad we won’t be returning.
Have been back a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. We usually rock in for breakfast, however, will happily drop by for lunch – their pizzas are amazing. It’s a pity they close in the afternoon. I would happily come back for dinner any time. Their meals are quite big – I have yet to finish one. They make great juices and shakes. Their coffee is decent as well. But between the pizza and the home made potato chips I’ll be coming back again and again whenever I’m in town.
