We love amphoras, the cocktails, wine, tapas style food & desserts will tempt you to return to this small funky bar. We have been as a couple & also with a table of 15, consistent service is hard to find but not at amphoras.
Friends recommend this little tapas bar, and it didn’t let us down. Loved it, the place gives you a good relaxing feel in the alfresco on the high tables, the service was great and friendly from the moment we walked in. The food was outstanding and it came out fast, great for lunches for those work catch up’s. I did notice the private dining area, didn’t get a chance to check it out, so will beheading back for dinner for sure – seems like a great place for the date night.
Staying just over the road at Sage Hotel and decided to have some dessert and a drink here. Got some churro’s to share a sparkling and a port. Churro were raw and doughy, sparkling was apparently nice but the port was served as a 30mL shot. When we asked nicely and then kindly told them it wasn’t a spirit and should be served 60-90 mL, we were just brushed off… pretty hopeless really to pay $9 for a 30 mL glass of cheap port.
Cute little tapas bar in West Perth, convenient for after work drinks and nibbles! The drinks/tapas selection is on point. However, I wouldn’t plan to go here for a meal unless you know what’s on the lunch special menu, we went with a table of 14 and they only had about 5 of each dish available. We did find a nice long strand of hair in one of the dishes but aside from that everyone enjoyed their meal!
We had drinks here and went on to nibbles. The truffle fries were pricey but when we tasted them it was all worth it! Chorizo was ok, calamari good and the arancini balls were a stand out. Croquettes were good.Service is inconsistent, we’ve had good experiences and disappointing service.
I enjoyed tapas lunch here. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The food was different and divine – barramundi croquettes and the mushroom – delicious. Everything was right.
Great ambiance and food, we were greeted with friendly staff; the service was on point. Even though it was her first night, she was always smiling and hospitable to our every request. Started with the wagyu Carpachio, loved the definitive truffle aroma and a slight texture contrast from the crunchy crumbs. The truffle fries and ribs may need abit more impact, but all in all they we both solid dishes and we are happy with it.Finished off the meal by sharing the chocolate fondant. Great dark chocolate flavours and fast service! but the soil may need more of a playful texture. It did remind me of a crumbed dark choc cookies. Some crunch and muddy texture would lift the overall dish.Great first timer experience! Loved the hospitality and ambiance they bring to the table! Wouldn’t mind coming back again soon!
