Lovely delicious dinner! Will be back! a little pricey but it was an nice atmosphere till a table of about 10 men came in for an after work get together which was fine because we were close to done for our evening. The waitress was sweet and offered to make up a cocktail for me as Ive only recently starting drinking. I told her I enjoy citrus and came up with drink that had vodka, orange juice, peach schnapps and cherry juice and it was divine, equal flavours throughout.
This is a lovely little tapas bar. The menu is quite extensive and diverse. The waitstaff are friendly and accommodating. My partner and I started with the Empanadas which were outstanding, I would definitely recommend this dish. Next up was the crumbed cuttlefish which was less than impressive. Thankfully the Lamb Rump was more enjoyable. The restaurant is quite small and it is worthwhile to make a prior reservation. Food came out in an efficient manner. I feel as if it was nice but not amazing.
16/12/2016We decided to try out Amphoras Bar in West Perth – it’s in the entertainment book so why not? We ordered the scallops (looked a lot like half scallops), with chorizo, and avocado puree; roasted red permento stuffed with mushroom & ricotta; and crispy sand whiting fillet, zucchini and gazpacho emulsion.Perhaps we chose badly or caught them on a bad night, because the food was uninspiring and had no wow factor. The dishes were also overpriced. We’ll probably stick with Pinchos for our tapas fix.
