Stopped here for an afternoon coffee last week. It tasted so bad I could only drink a quarter of the flat white. The waitress never bothered bring water to our table of 3 so I had to go to the bar to collect our own. Needless to say the service here is poor.
Black Tom’s is really close to my office, so because of its location it is a very convenient venue to hold various work lunches and functions. We have been here in small and large groups, and overall the experience has been so sad. We have given the restaurant many many opportunities to redeem itself and unfortunately it continues to deteriorate not only in terms of the food on offer but especially the service. I do not recommend Black Tom’s to anyone who wants a meal in a timely manner or with servers who leave you sitting at your table for half an hour without ordering and avoiding eye contact. I personally will never go back again. Please just don’t….
Wasn’t as busy as i thought it might be due to Adele being on nearby, my Fiancs meal of fish n chips was large n yummy but my lamb was so full of fat i found it strange a chef would serve it up. Potatoe fondant was tiny n tasteless. Scallops where beautiful though. Waitresses where not mindful, gave no drinks menu and no cutlery to my Fianc after our starter. Took 4attempts to gain attention. Heard the table beside me complain about their meals and the service also.
