We were there on the Scoopon Deal and both had the Big Breakfast. The Food and service were excellent.
LivingSocial voucher. I have purchased a deal via LivingSocial believing this venue will try to impress and leave us with the best culinary experience possible. Quite the opposite was the truth. After initial argument about having to book a breakfast since it’s a social deal, we have agreed to patiently wait for another 30 minutes. The deal itself did not instruct to book. (Just to show before ordering.) The Cafe was half empty, the kitchen could not be as busy.Very bad customer service, dirty water glasses, below average food. (I have never seen Eggs Benedict swimming in so much hollandaise sauce ever.)
Rather slow service for a not so busy cafe. I ordered the muesli and there was barely any muesli, mostly fruits and yogurt…
Usually does good breakkie and coffees. Came here on a scoopon deal- tried the pesto chicken and eggs Benedict with salmon plus two coffees. They delivered bene with ham instead of salmon and charged extra for soy coffee despite scoopon deal. Hmm…
Went downhill super quickly. Been a regular at coast in west perth for years now. This cafe used to be buzzing in the morning with familiar faces waiting for their morning coffee fix and we could never get a table at lunch as it is too busy. Reservations were vital! Now the occasional day when i visit, there are hardly any people in here. The quietness has a strange vibe to it, it is not inviting and lacks positive energy. So what went wrong with this once popular cafe in the heart of West perth? Is it because that the coffee is bitter and cold? or that the staff looks like they are in sleeping clothe and very unprofessionally dressed? That the new manager could not understand a word i said? It is looking more and more like a cute bubble tea place rather than a cafe. PLEASE bring back the previous management and barista! What a waste of a once booming cafe.
Changed owners? Used to ha…. Changed owners? Used to have the best coffee in w Perth, unparalleled service and at a well worth price. Great job to the previous owner! The new owners have a big reputation to carry on. I wish them all the best! It is still okay, given the location and the atmosphere. However something just feels off. Just an advice, the girl behind the counter shouldn’t be talking on the phone or playing with her phone while serving customers. It is rude. The macarons in the fridge looks old and not appealing at all. The coffee standards have dropped from perfection to good, sometimes average (consistency problem here?) they really need that smiley barista back or this place will start to release a drop in regular customers. I hope the new owners take this on board and improve. I will continue to support them, but with the current level of service and coffee, I’m not sure how long they will last. All the best!
