The rush of the morning to work mixed with sleeplessness can turn any good person into a hell of a man. That’s why the office worker needs their coffee and breakfast fix to ensure they can slot into the corporate lifestyle like the good white collared pawn that they are. Walking into Fix espresso on the way to work and a semi busy cafe is decked out with nice coffee cups and a display of colourful salads and savoury treats to indulge into. The bearded hipster of a barista grants me a smile and the waitress takes my order. Staff are friendly but busy. My coffee is delicious and the the bio art cup tantalising my creative brain. When my ham and cheese croissant arrives I feel like the pleasant experience has just been rubbed in the dirt and my heart sinks as I realised things are too good to be true. The staff have pressed my croissant in a sandwich press. Squeezing the breath out of this innocent baked good. I’m confused as to why they would commit such atrocities. The French would burn this establishment to the ground. Feeling disappointed I ate my road kill of a croissant vowing only to buy coffee from Fix.

We are spoilt with great coffee spots in west perth. Fix espresso is another great spot. The coffee was a tad frothy and creamy than what I’m used to, it was a pleasant surprise. Felt nibbly and had a simple toastie which I thought would be basic but adding the tomato chutney gave an awesome kick of spice to it making it a great toastie. Service was efficient and it’s a cute comfy lil place to linger.
