Got a Groupon for this place and was one of the best 3 course meals I’ve had in Perth for a long time. The chicken main was delicious and the sticky date pudding was amazing. Will definitely be back again 🙂
I didn’t eat in this restaurant however there is something that I would like to share. I accidentally parked in their carpark during work hours because I thought the parking was vacant. At the end of the day when I went to pick up my car and I found out the owner blocked my car on the drive way. After spoke to him and started driving away I realized I had two flat tyres!! There were small holes on the side of the tyres so obvious so you know someone did on purpose! It took me and boyfriend long time to fix at night and managed to get back to restaurant to ask the owner of they know anything. Both chef and waitress didn’t seem surprise when we told them about it. They owner denied of cos and apparently we cannot watch their security camera because they have no monitor and I cannot get tape from them. We couldn’t bother to spend more time on this but I just want to share my experience to everyone here, and I don’t understand what kind of people will do this to others? Poking my tyres because I parked here???is this really necessary??? Before you decide to eat here think about it, people like this will you trust them to cook your food? Imagine what kind of material they will use on your food? Low quality chef I doubt the quality of the food
I like this restaurant. Real food, good value and tasty. Excellent for dinner. Also a great function room at therear which is perfect for gatherings of less than 100 people. Enjoy!
This is one of the closest experiences you will get in Perth to a real French bistro.Set in an old house, small dining areas and a changing by set menu (or as the French would say; menu prix).I have never been disappointed by the food and have enjoyed the often boistrous atmosphere of celebrations which are frequent. One of the best value 4 course menus you are ever going to find in this town!
Four of us wentto The Olive Tree for dinner on Saturday night. Had been disappointed the last time we were there about 4 years ago. Noticed it had changed hands.Great value. We all had the four course set menu for $51.50, which was great value in itself as we find Perth to be overpriced for restaurant meals compared to other cities. The food and service couldn’t be faulted whatsoever. The meals were presented together, in a timely manner, and looked and tasted lovely. We will all go back, and would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
FANTASTIC experience. I don’t think that there would be a Perthite that has not been to the Olive Tree, or at least heard of it, it’s been around for a long time, and unfortunately, it has relied on it’s reputation way too much. The last time I ventured there we left vowing never to return again, and given that was over 10 years ago, I’ve pretty much stuck to my guns. However, after a friend recently visited it, we bit the bullet and took a walk on the wild side, to say that we were impressed would be the understatement of the decade. From the moment we walked in, until the time we departed, the experience was nothing but fantastic, the staff were very effecient and more importantly, very friendly.Three of our party of four opted for the set menu, which at $45 was not only excellent value, but the quality and amount of food was mind blowing great. Our other guest selected a few dishes from the menu, with his Pork Belly being the stand out dish of the night. The new owners are to be congratulated in taking on venue which was somewhat run down and having a bad name. The entire evening has left us all with a wonderful feeling and a desire to return for more.WELL DONE.Gary
Cach dans une petite rue de West Perth, le Olive Tree est un restaurant dont les propritaires tiennent donner une belle exprience de restauration. From the beautiful flavours to the perfect service, we were very impressed. We each had the 4 course dinner and the generous portions ensured we didn’t leave wanting. The caesar salad was well-balanced, the grilled vegetables tasty, the Tassie salmon and couscous delicious, and bread pudding dessert out of this world. Service was attentive without being overbearing. C’tait parfait!
