Pretty good quality for the price, Chicken Katsu, Katsu Curry, Rolled Sushi, and they even have brown rice options. Nice and clean, and quick service for lunch and take aways, might be packed at times though.
Lovely tiny and cosy place in the midst of a busy street serving decent value for money takeaway meals. I had the Chicken Katsu Curry ($9.50) and Spicy Tuna Roll ($3) which definitely hits the spot. I’ll definitely be back there again.
I often buy a katsu chicken bowl from here for cheap lunch. It’s only $8, comes with a couple edamame bean pods, a little wonton type parcel and the creamy sauce is really nice. I’m not a sushi fan myself but I always look at their cabinet of the sushi and think it’s got some interesting flavours and is always beautifully presented.
Hidden away gem down near QV1 (almost at the corner of Hay Street and Elder Street). Really good value and quality for a takeaway place! Thought I’d get something different to my usual and got Udon ($11.50). It was great! Noodles were great texture, the tempura prawns were huge and crispy and they even gave you the flavour sauce and chilli powder separately so you can add to your taste. The smallest touch of keeping the tempura separate to the soup to stop it getting soggy and putting wrap over the bowl to keep the warmth in was lovely service. Quite a bit of fresh sushi on offer as well as rice bowls (e.g. katsu curry) for $7.50.
