$7 for like 15 chips and took over an hour for our macaroni cheese/chips to come out. We were told a 30min wait which is fair enough as they had a function on but hour and a half later they materialised…Also very dirty venue as well

  • Fagoli Bean

Lousy service, poor food. Buzzer went off and due to miscommunication with staff we were asked to pay for an extra pizza that we didnt order. we wanted 3 lamb sliders but the female chef was apparently in a bad mood and wouldnt accommodate us so we had to change our order to 2. Shoestring fries were literally macdonalds chips for $7 with aioli which were a childrens sized serving and apparently doesnt come with aioli even though it was on the menu. This place has a lot to learn. Obviously no manager on duty with a unaccomodating chef.. will i return?. hell no…

My partner and I stumbled into Ball & Chain on a rainy, cold, Saturday aftenoon. And what a great decision! With a beautiful rustic and sleek decor, this place makes for a warm and cosy feeling. With a small and easy menu and a great selection of beers on tap – how can you go wrong? I absolutely loved the jalepan poppers and the onion rings as a snack and for a good portion lunch we had the pulled pork, corn relish and flat bread and it may not sound like much but it was beautiful and all perfect portioning. Great establishment, will certainly be back. ( Also? 6 pokemon in 8 minutes…can’t beat that.. 😀 )

They have a very nice outdoor area just need to get it at the right time otherwise the sun doesn’t hit it. Just a few beers however haven’t gotten a chance to try the food but I didn’t read reviews that made me want to try. Maybe next time.

  • Cake Is My Weakness

Three of us went here for lunch yesterday and were actually quite impressed. The small menu consists of simple but well prepared and tasty food and they have some good beers on tap (including Lazy Yak- my new fave) but $12 a pint is a bit cheeky! It was unusually quiet for a Saturday lunch but I’m guessing it gets busier later in once the live music starts? The southern fried chicken is basically a fancier version of KFC, with a a good serve of chicken, lightly battered and deep fried to a golden crunch (and was not greasy)- yum!The bratwurst is a comforting take on the hot dog with a big bratwurst, smothered in a chilli bean mince and topped with cheese. I do not regret my choice. My other companion went with a healthier chicken skewer, tortilla thing. A generous serve of well seasoned and spicy chicken skewers with a couple tortillas, a generous serve of guacamole and sour cream. The stand out for me was the impromptu decision to get the jalapeo poppers. They seemed to be jalapeo, stuffed with cheese, battered and deep fried- oh my god they are awesome! I can picture myself sitting in the sun, drinking beer and eating these little bad boys on a lazy Sunday afternoon, sometime in the not too distant future.

  • Cam's Corner

Popped in for lunch today after discovering this great pub. The new front beer garden was a great spot to sit with plenty of shade and water misters cooling us down on a hot day. There was a guy with a guitar and singing some nice mellow music once they sorted out the technical issues. We had the pulled pork with tortillas, jalapeo poppers and onion rings. Everything was great and filling for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back for a relaxing sesh and a few beers.

Had ‘the rooster’. Very tasty. Very prompt service. Very limited menu, but good quality all round. Wifes Sliders were also quite nice. Prices not too bad.
