After a fabulous dinner at Holy Smokes, Some friends and I decided to treat ourselves to some ice cream. We decided to skip the usual cold rock and try somewhere else. I am a creature of habit and my go to Ice Cream flavour is Mint Choc Chip. Upon arrival the first thing I notice is that they are OUT of Mint Choc Chip! NOO How can this be? Damn… I will have to find another flavour…. We decided to sample the goods, I tried one & so did my other friend… Nope that ice cream flavour wasnt right… lets try something else… Sorry only one sample per person.. Ummm ok…. A Third friend whom had not sampled the goods asked to try something was then refused a sample…. Wait what? I’m sorry i didnt realise we were asking for you to murder your first born? After that we walked out… Moral of the Story is stick to what you know – Cold Rock here i come!
After having toured Freo, we were graving some gelato and decided to drop in here. There was a line, with one girl serving who was intently chatting in German while we all waited. After sometime they finished their conversation and then she started serving everyone else. We were next, but then another group walked in and she served them ignoring us. We must have been invisible and I was close to walking out. Apart from the lack of service the gelato were ok, I had the pistachio which was nice and creamy and good consistency. I also had the lemon gelato and the flavours were good, but it was a little lumpy. Based on poor service we are not coming back here.

Bad way to end a great day in Freo. Customer service here is almost non existent. The women behind the counter was having either an extremely bad day or just really hates her job and hates everyone around her. Not even a smile or any eye contact after countless attempts to brighten her day. I wont be coming back here again.
I have been here a couple of times to treat myself. Have to admit, their gelato isn’t cheap. My favourite flavours are pistachio and hazelnut. Recently I went and tried the oreo icecream. It was extremely sweet and didn’t have any oreo in it! It was just cookies and cream icecream. I had the hazelnut icecream on my recent visit last week and it tasted more like coffee. Probably not likely to go again.
Extremely rude staff who very condescendingly lay down the ‘RULES’ [sic] of only one taste per person. Well we voted with our feet and went down the road to Ben and Jerrys who were welcoming and appreciative of our business and where after a couple of tastes I made up my mind, enjoyed a delicious treat and wholeheartedly decided to go back there next time. Very bad form DV doing that to a Freo local who are your bread and butter. Obviously very poor business skills.
