So, I’ve been coming here for a few years now and have loved the food, the ambience, the staff are friendly.I have to make note though…the new renovations are AMAZING!! It really makes it feel a lot more cozy, at the same time much fresher and open. The seasonal changes of the menu are fantastic, and the pizza is too die for.I’ll be back alot more, I cant wait. Great job guys. Very well thought out.
The service was really friendly, especially on a packed Saturday night. Our server made his best effort to get the smokehouse dishes brought out at the same time as everything else, despite it coming from another kitchen, which was much appreciated.It seemed I had the most disappointing meal of the night. The chicken burgers and pork and fennel sausages were all thoroughly enjoyed, but my pulled pork didn’t satisfy me. The pork itself was really tasty, but the sides let it down – one tiny poppyseed bread roll, some dry slaw and the blandest corn cob you will ever taste. I love my corn greased and seasoned but this was 100% plain, and there wasn’t even any table salt I could put on it. I felt a bit ripped off as this was $26.I would come back to the Norfolk since it seems I just picked a dud dish. Everything else seemed really good. The Entertainment Book voucher got us $40 knocked off so I suppose I can’t complain too much!
