This little caf is tucked in the Common Ground store and serves food and coffee from the counter, including a daily winter soup. It looked good, but I decided on the zucchini and goats cheese tart with a juice. Juice and food came out quickly in take-away containers which I enjoyed at one of the counters looking out onto High Street. Love admiring the architecture from here; nice spot. The tart was ok and the juice was the highlight.

The coffee here is always great and the staff friendly and efficient. I love the inventive snacks such as coffee chia pudding and there is a broad rage of bakery type goods.

Located inside Common Ground shop in Fremantle The Banker offers a range of delicious home made fresh donuts. I opted for the raspberry and white chocolate and a chai latte while my friend chose the pretzel donut and coffee. The donuts were so good I bought the chocolate and vanilla home to share. The service was a little slow as there was only one person serving at the time but the seating is delightful, very Instagram worthy and the donuts were worth my 40 minute drive to Fremantle alone. This is a perfect little spot to sit back and relax with a tea or coffee and read a book or the paper to soak up the Freo charm and watch the world go by. I also love the cute The Banker packaging and that each table had fresh flowers.

Coffee and cake at The Banker. hidden inside the shop Common Ground. Lovely coffee without to much milk, the mug went down well on acoolishFreo morning. Of the limited hot choices I went for a toasted ham and cheese croissant, which was pressed in the toaster so it was crunchy without being dry.Nicely presented lightdcor for reading and chatting.

I expected the place to be crazy busy, and while it was relatively full, there seemed to be a place for everyone. There was just one guy doing the coffee making and serving, so he was super busy, but he was also very nice and seemed to get through everything at a steady pace. I got a 4 pack of donuts for $14 because I really wanted to try the White Choc Oreo, and they were sold out of the individual ones (though had plenty of Salted Caramel and some Choc Mint left). The food in the cabinet looked really good, especially the big danishes. The coffee is decently priced. And they allow dogs in their outside area, which always makes me happy.

I was so pumped to have had reserved some of their famous donuts although they looked aesthetically-pleasing, the donut itself was dry and lacked sponginess. Albeit, I love their location having common ground collective in the same place of the cafe and the whole set up of their food and tables that gave a sophisticated vibe.
