I wouldnt go here as a first choice when eating out at collins street. although service is very, very fast, and the portions are relatively cheap, the food is slightly gluggy and heavy on the stomach. (I suspect they use msg here), and it is pretty much always crowded (we went on a tuesday lunch and it was packed; had to apologise to a poor man because our chairs collided when he went to the restroom!). also, to nitpick, I would rather they slow down the service a bit and make sure presentation of food is better (e.g wiping random grains of rice). still, kudos to this restaurant for serving traditional singaporean food such as ice kachang (fried ice cream?! would love to try this!) however, only go here if you want a very quick bite and/or a cheap meal to sum up, average food.
Worst bbq combination! Dry, not much flavour n wasnt even hot.Fried quay teow was good as was the sambal kung kong.That’s all i can say. (I can’t even finish writing my review at my last point as i need 140 characters)

Best dishes are Laksa, Malaysian Curry, Salted Fish and chicken fried rice, Salted Fish and veggies , Duck Wanton soup FAST service, GREAT food
Service is very fast and the food is tasty and authentic, also reasonably priced for portions. The best items are the peking spare ribs, leafy greens, sizzling tofu. Dessert is also good – they serve fried ice cream. The Thai chicken was average, I will go there again but I don’t think I will order the Thai chicken again.
Been here a few times and its up and down. Some days the food is amazing and some days it is okay . Staff are nice and helpful most of the time. Atmosphere is nice and price is very good.
Very BAD service. Waited in queue, get served and half way through ordering but interrupted as a call is taken to take their order. NO RESPECT. In Australia or China tot Malaysia or anywhere this is DISRESPECT. Don’t go there in person, they only want phone-in customers.
