This place has changed ownership a few times over the years. Recently reopened after some renovations at Southlands shopping centre. We ordered the fish katsu rice and the chicken karaage udon noodles. Portions were massive compared to the last time. The fish katsu was delicious, fried to perfection. The rice however didn’t have the correct consistency. The udon noodles were ok.

I like the fact they use karage chicken instead of pork in the Ramen.Very considerate to us who don’t take pork due to religion. Tasty food and reasonable priceu have my full support.

I tried the chicken katu with rice. Rice was good, curry was very good but they didnt give much, the chicken was quite thin and dry I feel. Not sure how I feel about the vegetables in the curry though (felt a little undercooked but then again the meal only cost $11) for this price I would still say pretty good.

My partner and I had Jap Ramen the other day and we were very impressed by the food quality. There were lots of ingredients in the Ramen and the soup was spot on. Ramen is my partner’s favourite and we had tried many restaurants even overseas but we must say this is a lot better than many Jap restaurants we have tried. I was told the place has recently been refurbished and they have come out with brand new menu but the prices haven’t changed much which is great for us. We are very looking forward to trying them all.

Spider roll was good. Sushi rice in right texture and they made it fresh. Karaage chicken wss not the best we’ve had but ok, and good value for sure.Katsu curry was average and ramen extra ordinary. Don’t expect too high as it’s your food court standard. Overall is exceptable.

I have been going to Furusato for delicious, freshly made Japanese dishes. They consistently serve the best Teriyaki Beef! Prices are very affordable.

My husband had the Yaki udon beef and it was so hard you couldn’t chew it. I had the tuna roll and it tasted like it was far from fresh. The guy charged me extra $5 for avacado in my Tuna sushi…so I was expecting fresh but there was a strange taste to the mayonaise and tuna roll it didn’t taste fresh and it was oddly spicy…never had spicy tuna roll before..definitely not authentic Japanese food and not freshEat at your own risk.
