If you’re looking for a place with curries that taste authentic and satisfy different levels of spiciness. This place will most definitely have a curry that can tick your boxes.
Great roti, Gopi is a very genuine person. The staff members who take phone calls and serve food are rude and unprofessional. Would recommend for food but not for service AT ALL.
A simple and humble place that serves good pratas. This place definitely brings back memories of being in a Malaysian street coffee shop serving mamak food and drinks. Fried rice/noodles and curries taste alright in general. Teh tarik could be better if it was a little stronger and creamier. If you’re after a simple meal, you’ll definitely get a satisfying fill at a good price here. Don’t mind coming back for another round of prata and teh tarik when I’m in the area.
Came here on a weekend morning to check out what the local cafe had to offer. Ordered a Roti Prata, which is one of my fav malaysian dishes. Unfortunately, the curry was sweet and not at all like the traditional malaysian curries. Was rather disappointed, but perhaps I may give this place a second chance in the future.
Was in the area a while back and picked up some quick Dominos pizza for the kids and saw this little restaurant. Piqued my interest so I decided to come back for a quick lunch with a work mate today. The restaurant is clean and simply appointed, very much like some of the kopi restaurants in Malaysia (which the proprietor and his wife are from). Tried the regular rice combination with one meat and vegetables. Decided to go for the goat curry as that’s simply awesome when done well. It was very tender and succulent, like a good goat curry should be so a big thumbs up for that. The curry itself wasn’t as hot as I would have liked but had the right balance of spices and flavour so that’s also a plus. I chose the dhal and some green beans to go with it which went really well with the dish.So overall was quite happy with this. Next trip here I’m trying the roti canai with my kids as they are roti canai crazy after several trips to Malaysia and Singapore got them hooked! My friend had the goat curry, lamb curry, potatoes and brinjal (eggplant). He was also suitably impressed and gives this a 3/5 only because he is comparing against Cafe Rasa Sayang. He also got the teh tarik which was made very well.Overall I’d say this is an awesome little shop to get a quick simple home-cook style dish to eat there or takeaway. The owner and his wife are also super friendly.
Have been meaning to try this place for a while now. We ordered the egg roti and the plain roti with chicken curry (there was a choice between chicken, fish or dahl curry). We were very impressed with the roti and the curry. The curry was delicious and had a good kick of spice to it. We also ordered the kopi tarik and the teh tarik. Both were ok. Definitely coming back for more!
