I have driven from opposite side of perth many times to go to rump and grind. I absolutely love the lamb shanks wrapped in puff pastry. They are melt in your mouth delicious. Always had a beautiful lunch and i take something home for dinner. Staff are a pleasure and always friendly.

This lunch bar was highly recommended by my work mates. I checked it out and was surprised to find gourmet food with generous portions at very reasonable prices. I’m addicted and now visiting two or three times a week to check out the constantly expanding gourmet lunches. The food is made from top quality Mount Barker beef, lamb and chicken from the co-located Challenge Lamb. With a chef always willing to try something new not everything is a winner (for example the foray into spiced biltong was less than perfect – I suspect you need South African DNA to do that well). However I can personally vouch for the rotating menu of roasted meals (beef, lamb and even turducken) with gravy and potatoes (freshly mashed or scolloped), the toasted sandwiches (including one wrapped in bacon) the American deli style sandwiches and the range of gourmet pies. So much to love!

I have been here 3 times now. The service was friendly and helpful. The meat pie had actual meat in it with the pastry just right. Stunnngly good. The sausage roll is a juicy meal in its self. And I have had the protein breakfast an egg wrapped in bacon a locarb dream. See attached pic

Thought I would stop in on my lunch break to check out this tasty looking pies I kept in seeing on Instagram, well bad move I ask for bbq beef pie as they had no chilli pie but when I got back to work and cracked it open to my surprise it was chicken and vege it was to far to drive back so I thought I would give it a go, the pasty was ok but they used chicken breast which dry as anything and the gravy was bland and unseasoned. justforstartersperth.wordpress.com
