Great food and great service! I usually get delivery, which is always fresh and comes on a timely schedule! Food is very moist and succulent, and has lots of flavour. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the nearby area. Don’t give it a miss!!!

Yak. This by far the worst Indian I have ever eaten. I ordered lamb vindaloo and was given rogan josh, I normally like Rogen josh but not from here, bland and dry meat. I also order tandoori chicken which was dry and the marinade was like a dry paste. Go else where

We got takeaway and asked for spicy butter chicken. It is very sweet and not spicy at all. Very disappointing and will not be ordering from here again.

Absolutely love the curry from Royal Taj – so much so that we continue to order from here, even after moving a few suburbs away! The lamb korma is absolutely beautiful and the vindalooo is great if you like something with a real kick. The friendly service and cute decor adds to the overall vibe – highly reccomend

My partner really enjoyed the music that was playing. The service was friendly, and if you like naan, there are several kinds, and you get two decent pieces for $5.50.

Four of us ate here on a recent Friday evening. We’re all big curry lovers …. we started with some shared entrees of Onion Bhaji and Chicken Tikka. Popadums were also provided. Both entrees were delicious – the chicken moist, tender and flavoursome, the Onion Bhaji were crisp and tasty. For mains we shared Lamb Saag, Beef Balti, Dal Makhani (black lentils), Chilli Naan, Garlic Naan and plain rice. We couldn’t fault any of the dishes – the beef was mouthwatering, tender and a delight to eat. Same with the lamb – fall-apart tender and full of flavour. The chilli naan turned faces red (I didn’t have it but everyone else said it was great and there were only crumbs left at the end!). For dessert we chose Gulab Jamun, Mango Kulfi, and Rice Pudding. They were all lovely – the Gulab Jamun were served cold, nicely presented with a little rasberry coulis decorating the plate (I don’t think it does anything for the flavour of the dumplings though). The dumplings were a little crystallised but I don’t mind that as I’m a sugar fiend. My husband said the Rice Pudding was like ground-rice and was very nice (another empty plate!). The Mango Kulfi was also well liked. We all said that we will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Just OK. We eat a lot of curry and gave eaten at dozens of places all across perth. We eat a wide range for ourselves, but more basic mild options for the kids. We ordered out on Monday night for wife’s birthday. Wanted Indian but didn’t want to go out. Ordered lamb Balti and chicken korma. Mild and very plain. Chicken way over cooked and really chewy. Like it was boiled chicken cooked separately and placed into a pre made sauce. More sauce than meat. Asked for rice for two adults, 1 small child and a toddler. Got 3 large rices (and were charged for them, but didn’t realize till we got home) but only needed 1, so the over charged us there. Ordered 1 naan but got charged for two. That’ll teach me for just paying and picking up the order that the wife placed. Should have checked it. Given there is a much better option in woodvale, I’m not inclined to recommend it or go back there.
