Although the service was slow, they were welcoming and the food was fantastic. We loved the chicken stew and grilled lamb and my partner enjoyed the desserts. It is a fairly shabby shop but we would definitely try there again. We were concerned about prior reviews mentioning microwaved dishes but our dinner was prepared fresh.

A Sudanese Spot where there was no staff. The owner/chef/waiter/cleaner/receptionist/kitchen hand casually came out after the we used the bell. Even though we called and booked the table, he still managed to mix our booking. I’m afraid to say that food was plain and nothing stood out as worth mentioning. Advertised Vegetarian Eggplant starter dish was nice. Mains were all simple but full of vinegar. Kids didn’t enjoy. If you would like to try something African & new. Maybe a one time visit is enough.

Simple ok experience Purchase a Groupon voucher with two mains, two desserts and soft drinks each. We decided to try a new culture array of food of Nubia. I was abit hesitant because of the past reviews and It turn out to be a satisfying ok experience . We had the lahama (grilled lamb) and the samak ( deep fried Nile perch fish) served with rice (should be warmer but ok )and /or warm flat bread. We decided to get Nubia chilli ( it was hot) and Nubia mish to go with it because mains didn’t come with sauces . Friend had the Nubia style spice tea which goes well with the desserts (Basta and Bala el sham). Friendly service by Khalid. If your a adventurous open foodie, give it a go. Is a worth a try.

Visited for dinner with a Scoopon. It was a wonderful experience because I had not tried Sudanese food before. The waitress was very helpful to explain the dishes, which region they are from and how the meals are traditionally eaten.

Great experience. Amazing service. Ambience could use some help but this does not detract from the overall experience given all of the other features which are more than redeeming. The grilled lamb and the Fried Chicken were excellent as was the sujuk. Good choice of bottled soft drinks.

A Sudanese cuisine not to be miss! I’ve been here twice within a span of 3 years. I must say the quality remains the same. The meat was super tender, cooked with charcoal. The meat/fish taste are full of wonderful flavours and make sure you add a bit of chilli for some kick. Definitely be back again.

As it was our group’s first visit to an African restaurant, the friendly owner offered us a special banquet to try a variety of dishes. We enjoyed the food and felt very welcome, and look forward to coming back soon.
