We stopped here on the drive from Salzburg to Venice, its roughly half way through the trip and was a magical place to stop for a meal.
Very nice setting, the food was perfect. This is the best vegan menu I have ever had, great cook! The staff was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend the candle light dinner.
It is worth it to wlak all the way to the old castle to enjoy a breathtaking view over Villach and the mountains behind! Service and food is also OK – don’t forget to take some extra time for the bird of prey show there!
