Since 1652 we, the Steinbacher Family, have been running this establishment as a restaurant and a farm. Due to our 365 years of tradition, we are obliged to only work with local high quality produce and goods, so we know exactly where it has come from. We cook with heart and mind, buy locally and seasonally and produce many of our own basic products. Our beef broth, for example: simmers gently, just as it did over one hundred years ago on the wood burning stove in the kitchen and is the essential basis for many of our delicacies. The supreme standard of the base product itself, the careful preparation and the distinctive hand of our chef Karin Vierthaler promise authentic tastes and flavours of Pongau.
