Went here as everyone recommended, service is good, coffee a bit higher than average, sacher torte.. usual nothing fancy..
The cafe had a limited selection of items to choose. The service was poor for a place where they must know visitors are there more for the sights than the food.
If you are looking to dine in a restaurant with unfriendly staff and overpriced food,this is the perfect place for you.That was my first and last time going there,they really need to improve on their waiters attitude.
This listing is NOT for the cafe at the palace, but several (most?) of the reviews are for that one, which is the Residenz Cafe Schonnbrunn.
We had a lunch at that cafe. Pasta with ham and Viennese style pasta were ok, but nothing special. Coffe was good and strudel also good. Prices are high.
Being in a major tourist attraction, I did not have high expectations for this café. But it turned out to have pretty good food. Despite the crowd service was prompt if a bit brusk. And of course, if you’re touring the palace it’s very convenient.
