Tucked away not far from St. Elisabeth, this is a locals place where the croissants and #8 (cheese danish) are delicious. Open relatively early if the Jet Lag has you starting first thing.
This place was so lovely and friendly we went twice in the same day! We had a nice big breakfast and then later had lovely fresh waffles too. The waitress was very kind and explained the menu to us in English.
We stumbled on Benny and Ingrid’s when we were walking around Ghent. We were quite pleased with the friendliness and the quality of the sandwiches were had. We can highly recommend this to any traveler who needs a break from touring.
This is a bakery that sells sandwiches and cakes. The bread was beautifully fresh and the cakes were out of this world. For a simple sandwich lunch this is worth seeking out. Visit the Gravensteen and then pop in here?
