The frasca is a tree brench of the bamboo which grows along rivers, typical of the Veneto region. In the past, there werent signs or clear indications that in a specific place there was a restaurant or a pub. So people took a few bamboo branches from the river, the frasche, and they hanged them on the door of their business. This way the people passing by knew that there they could stop to have something to drink and eat. Usually it was something homemade with lots of love by the woman running the business.
