On the busy Bruul shopping street, the inner courtyard of De Margriet is peaceful area for a lunch, or an afternoon coffee. Beautifully restored historic building, efficient service, good food and clean. A joy to sit there on a sunny afternoon.
Located just off the main shopping street of Mechelen in a quiet courtyard (or is a traffic-free square?), the Margriet offered excellent brasserie style food, served by friendly and efficient waiters at very reasonable prices. A very enjoyable expreience.
nice brasserie with beautiful terrace. Friendly staff; We had a perfect Dover sole and fish ‘pot au feu’.
We’ve had a great dinner yesterday. Very friendly staff. It wasnt busy, there were only 3 others. Food was very good, a lot of flavor and prepared well. Also athmosfere is nice. Location in city center, in the shopping area.
Second brasserie owned by Belair Deurne, fantastic location slightly ruined by stupid piped music, such a historic location should have Vivaldi to enhance the atmosphere.Food fine – a bit overpriced- and few choices, but overall positive note
