Café Lequet is always one of the first places we go to while in Liège. My husband, who is from Liège, loves this place. Their menu is simple — 1-2 boulets with frites. Pair it with a draft beer and it’s a classics Liège meal.
Long lines for crappy food and crappier service. Almost no sauce to let you know that the boulettes are indeed liegeoise, and they enjoy mocking their patrons. I imagine it stays in business because Walloons enjoy suffering when they go out to eat.
