About

Banais was born in 1998, on a beautiful colonial house from 19th century, it is now considered architectonic national heritage on La Paz and where Hostal Naira currently is After some extensions and remodeling, it could be said that this is the best restaurant in the neighborhood. It has a unique and beautiful decoration, and it is a comfortable place where one can sit and enjoy the best height coffee from los Yungas; with gourmet cooking and a variety in pastry Our main objective is for all tourists and travelers to have a opportunity to enjoy the great flavor of local spices and products from the Bolivian gastronomy while they rest for a moment so that they can keep up with their journey through our amazing city

Nice authentic restaurant. Close to touristic center. Accepts credit card (which is rare in La Paz). Friendly staff. The chicken soup was fantastic (and saved my stomach). We returned a few times and enjoyed it every time.

Holiday experience: cosy atmosphere, very tasty food. Nice view on streetlife. Friendly people to serve and help with chosing the food. Spanish and English menue. Right beside Hotel Naira. Cindy & Leo in ‘t Groen, Tilburg, The Netherlands

Our main dish (llama) was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I would go there again! The restaurant is open on sunday and you can have dinner already early.

Last time we visited Bolivia, we found the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoy their Llama and salads. Sometimes service is a little slow, especially if they are very busy, as they only have 2 ladies working the cash drawer and floor.
