Best restaurant in Salvador’s historic centre which, I’m afraid, is not saying much. It is one of the few that feels like a real restaurant where you can eat well in an elegant decor and not feel you’re being ripped off. That is why is particularly popular among locals and knowledgeable tourists alike. Very competent execution but disheartening menu, mixing regional and international dishes without connection or vision, i.e. the formula: regional food with a twist + pasta + pizza, smile and try to look modern. The restaurant itself is charming, both indoors and outdoors. If you’re staying in the historic centre for dinner and wish to avoid the beaten track of touristy restaurants, this is the one.
