Opened in 1997 at 210 South, the Universal Restaurant is a landmark in the gastronomy of the federal capital. Run by Chef Mara Alcamim, two decades ago, it remains one of the most popular addresses in Brasilia, famous for its fun and irreverent atmosphere. From the Universal Bar, right at the entrance, to the lounge and garden, past the mezzanine, the restaurant is a party from the time it opens until closing. Chef's creative cuisine features outstanding seasonings, unexpected flavors and, more recently, the search for a simple and more flavorful food, which she often calls the real food, following the line of comfort food and the affective kitchen . Restaurant Universal holds the Best of Wine award and Best beverage list (granted by the pleasures of the table) for three consecutive years, 2017/2018/2019. The Universal is part of the Association of Restaurants of Good Remembrance.
