Quite close to Café Colombo, this very traditional coffee shop is not quite as glamourous but serves good pastries and also meals at lunchtime. Prices ok, service could be better
A few steps away from the splendor of its famous rival this cafe can easily stand its ground as it has just as long history. The food is great too. And the waiters are very nice and friendly.
Traditional sweets, snacks, pies, art deco décor & all you’d expect of Rio’s oldest pastry store.Located in the middle of the old part of City.Beautiful old building, good coffe and especially Brazil tea. Worth to try it
Delicious food, good service, beautiful historical café, a bit pricy but it’s worth it. I highly recommend it and I go back often.
We ducked in here to get out of a downpour and could not have been happier. The sweets are homey and traditional, not fancy, and the 19th century decor is in perfect condition. A great place to stop in central Rio.
After reading an awesome review of this place, we went there looking for sweets and pastry, but the food is disapoiting, although the building is a very beautiful place.
