The Restauraante Rascal's has the beginning of his career 27 years ago, when still young, Joao Carlos de Oliveira, the cheff and businessman John Rascal as is known, decided to open in an old house of his Father in paradise, and hitherto little trendy, Massaguacu Beach on the northern coast of Sao Paulo, a small restaurant by the sea. With the entrepreneurial vision and with much effort john pioneered and turned the former home of his parents in a small restaurant by the sea, to serve fried fish portions and prawns plus some typical local dishes such as Sea Blue (fish with fish sauce Green Banana). And, as envisioned by the young entrepreneur, the inauguration was a success! The success of the pioneering project was so great that soon in its first months of operation, John Rascal, faced some operational problems due to excess demand and lack of experience with this type of business. At the same time, john caicara, by coincidence or fate, met a cook who had just become unemployed, the mining matuto Alcibiades, and from that meeting was initiated to the success achieved in two and half decades, of Rascal's Restaurant. John joined all their knowledge in fish and seafood, impeccable knowledge in the art cooking that had the late Alcibiades, the Bida, as it was known. And together, exchanging ideas and knowledge and learning between them, set up a different menu with popular and traditional dishes today. John learned so much about the Bida, which today is one of the most known and respected leaders in the region. The partnership was so successful that soon the Rascal's Restaurant has become a benchmark and the most traditional and renowned restaurant in town, known by both tasty dishes offered to customers as friends to be situated in one of the most beautiful beaches of the north coast. Recognized for excellence in cooking and for keeping alive the customs and traditions of caicara people, Rrestaurante Rascal's just turned 27 years of great battles, victories, growth and well-deserved recognition of your brand.
