The brunch was really tasty. The fried chicken was a nice treat. Deserts were alright, but the mains, soup, and salads were lovely! The hours of operation kind of suck as I am more of a Saturday brunch type of guy, but I still quite enjoyed it. Excellent service. I do wish there was some reading materials, like a news paper, or Here’s the Scoop though, as I like to read with my meal. Overall good experience though.
The peppercorn steak is amazing. It’s all I order when we eat here, which is weekly. My husband is a pizza lover and this is the closest that we can find to Saskatchewan pizza. Never disappointed!
I’ve been here three times now and every single time the food has been amazing! I’ve had the 8oz steak, mussels, and pesto penne. All awesome. The decor is slightly bland but the excellent service and quality of food definitely make up for it.
My husband and I went there last nightfor our anniversary and the restaurant was very nicely decorated and our waitress was fantastic. Our food however, was not. Our appetizer was good butwhen the main course came, I commented to my husband that his food looked very bland and dry. He had the chicken fettuccini alfredo and told me it was by far the worst he has ever had. He did not complain to the waitress, even though I told him that he should have. He just didn’t eat much of it.My lasagna was okay but so hot (temp wise) that I could not eat it forover a half hour, so I took it home after I picked what I could that would not burn my tongue. I am not sure if we will go back, which is unfortunate since there are limited restaurants in Airdrie. We were looking for our new favorite place, but this was not it.
Food is bland. Service is bland. Whole restaurant is a joke. Especially the management. I’ve been twice and I definitely won’t be back a third. I’d rather eat at joeys next door even though I hate their food as well. Alexander’s also over charges like they’re a top notch steak house when they clearly aren’t. They must be money hungry by over charging. It’s like a scam.
Overpriced and Bland. Hubby and I went shortly after they opened and it was fantastic. The food was full of flavour and his steak was one of the best he’s ever eaten. We went with our 2yr old twins for their birthday tonight and….. well, we won’t be going back. They say they are a family restaurant but they certainly don’t cater to actual families with young children. There is no printed kids menu, you have to ask the server about it and they only have the basic deep fried garbage that is often pandered to children. We ordered the stuffed chicken and the veal parm. The stuffed chicken is supposed to have a white wine sauce on top….. it was just a basic roux. Definitely no white wine in that and the entire dish itself was very bland. The veal was very tough and also bland. The caesar salad tasted like just mayonnaise on the lettuce… bland bland bland.
Brunch. Just had brunch at Alexander’s in Airdrie…people it’s worth the drive from calgary. Best I have eaten and i have been to alot of brunch. Give it a 4
