My wife and I ordered from this place when we first moved to Airdrie about 4 years ago. We found it to be a bit expensive but it was worth it for the taste and the quality of the pizza. We stopped ordering from them for about 2 years because it was too expensive. We ordered from them just a couple days ago and the quality the pizza has gone extremely downhill. Which is unfortunate because we were really really looking forward to it.

First thoughts: Why go here to buy a 12 inch pizza for 25 dollars + 5 dollar delivery, instead of Papa Johns for the same thing at 12 bucks and free delivery? It would have to be a magical pizza to want that much money, and so I went to get the magic pizza. Results: Blueberry pie struessel was sinfully delicious. However, the pizza was sugary-sweet tasting, very much like eating a spaghetti or lasagna. If this sugary-sweetness was gone, it really would be like any other pizza to me. Sweet as it was, it was still good, just not special or worth a return visit, especially since their menu gives no health-conscious reasoning to prefer this place to another. But if you really like sweet-sauced pizza, I still suggest buying it cheaper somewhere else, because you can always sprinkle sugar on top at home, to save you anywhere from 5 to 15 dollars. There’s sadly no reason for me to come back to Sophie’s Pizza. I prefer Papa John’s user-friendly choices online, prices, and non-sweet taste. Definitely was worth checking out, as I’d be interested in a non-conventional pizza for a change, but the pizza here was typical, + sweet, + ripoff. They either need to drastically improve the quality of the pizza to match the pricing, or reduce the pricing.
