Called in for supper. It was our first visit. Found the dining room dated, unwelcoming and characterless. Food was nothing to write home about either. Given its prime location this place should not have any availability for walkins on the main days of the week but it was virtually empty, such a shame.

Great food, great service. (March 2014) Although it was fairly dead this Saturday night, we got a friendly smile upon arrival and were able to pick our own table. The drinks came right away and food was delicious, although the yam fries seemed like they had been soaking in oil… The waitress came around to see how we were doing at regular intervals and was quite friendly. This is probably a more busy restaurant in high golfing season, in the winter it feels like a dressed up legion… It would be a very decent setting for a modest wedding reception.
Not sure Jill went to same restaurant we did. Ate in Dining room but ws only a wine rack from about 20 noisy and obviously inebriated golfesFood was so so steak preferred done medium well not medium rare and server didn’t want to return it to kitchen. Asked for a manager and was told none on duty. ?? Won’t bother to return as it was mediocre and overpriced 🙁
Please do not go to this restaurant for Sunday Brunch. Stay away, and let me enjoy the offerings at my own leisure.100 out of 100.I don’t normally have too much too say about such things as restaurants, but this brunch is quality, and the chef deserve some credit. Good Job!Burleigh Bates
Sunday Brunch – What Happened. We recently returned to the Homestead Restaurant to enjoy the Sunday Brunch, as we had in the past. But what happened? Since our last visit about 2 years ago the brunch has gone from a 4.5 to 2.5 rating. While I don’t expect you will be disappointed, the quality is not the same. One example, gone are the New York cheesecakes, replaced by bakery made pies? Regretfully, the Sunday Brunch has gone from a special experience to being pretty mediocre and average.01 Oct, 2010Worth trying. Lunch and supper menu are okay. Price point is reasonable. If you really want to get your best value at the Homestead Restaurant, try the Sunday Branch. It is very good!
