I love their noodle soup! They close late. They have a variety of dishes to choose. If youre craving for a decent chinese delicious restaurant late at night this is it!
Late night eats typically brings us to Sam Wok….have been going here for years…actually decade plus….it’s almost nostalgic now. Salty fish and chicken fried rice, beef brisket chow mien are the go too dishes. Sometimes toss in a few additional items if we are hungrier than normal…service is blah if you eat in….just ore order and take it to go. Food is piping hot and ready in 15-20 mins. To top it all off the price is right. $30 for 3 dishes bursting out of the to go containers.
Ok, here’s the context, we had just come from Calgary and had some Chinese food (a buffet too no doubt) just before we left. Go figure about 3 hrs later we’re hungry again. Chinese food does that to us. Sam Wok apparently is where a lot of university peeps go to and you can tell why. Food is quick and cheap. You’re not here for the service. Not bad, we ordered a Foo Kin fried rice because we’re immature, but it was surprisingly really good! We also ordered a house chow mein, won ton soup and diced vegetables, all were decent and filled us. I’ll be looking forward to trying the Foo Kin fried rice from other Chinese restaurants now.
