We used to come here for taco Thursday and it was acceptable. But on our last visit we had a terrible experience with the fish tacos. Tacos were cold and I wouldn’t call them fish tacos anymore as they were filled with mostly cabbage and almost no fish (see photo attached). Note this taco is one of the ones we got with the most content of fish the others were even worse. Definitely not going back and we will go back to the Joey restaurant close to westbrook as that one at least have more balanced fish tacos not only wheat tortillas filled with cabbage. This restaurant should stop offering the taco Thursday promotion if they are not willing to offer reasonable tacos.
Something happened to this location, it used to be good. I went today and ordered the unlimited fish tacos. They were cold and overflowing with cabbage, the fish was a thin strip that sometimes didn’t even got to the other end of the taco. All i could taste was cold cabbage. Go to the one in 17th ave instead their tacos are fantastic.
Great service, wonderful atmosphere, outstanding food. It’s hard for me to find a place where I can take my children to feed them but Joey’s has done an impeccable job creating a warm inviting place with delicious food.
This place was alright. Nothing special and the place is very dated. For the price of 14$ and the amount of food I got, thought it was pretty good deal. But probably won’t come back.
Perfect Service & Food. We had dinner at Joeys Crowfoot tonight and it was fantastic. We walked into the restaurant and were greeted immediately by a friendly gentlemen. After being seated, our drinks were ordered and arrived quickly. The waiter had a great attitude. Our food was hot and exactly what we ordered. I work in the restaurant industry, so I’m very particular, and I must say, tonight’s experience was a perfect example of how service and quality food make for a positive time. Everyone was well dressed and happy, and the food was great! I will definitely be returning and will be sharing my good experience with everyone I know. Keep up the good work, ladies and gentlemen.
A Decent Meal. I had lunch here a few weeks ago with family and was pleasantly surprised that it was actually pretty nice inside. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but there was definitely a steady flow of patrons. I had a shrimp meal that came from the full menu while my family members had fish and chips, fish tacos and a sandwich. Overall I think we were pretty satisfied with our meals. The shrimp entree had shrimp prepared 3 ways and came with a big serving of fries and coleslaw. I actually really liked the fries and they were seasoned well with seasoning salt. The shrimp themselves were good and while I’m not a huge coleslaw fan it wasn’t too bad. My sister and I shared a rice pudding dessert that was also pretty taste. Service was alright. The server was friendly and made sure to keep our drinks topped up. I’d like to come back to try something else. dragonfiring.wordpress.com
Disappointed. I agree with jason87 on his review of Feb 8. I had not had fish n chips for a long time and last weekend I had a craving for fish n chips and Joeys came to mind. I stopped in and ordered a 3 piece meal to go. The portions were adequate for a meal but was amazed at the price. $27.30 for a meal!!!!. Burger and chicken meals from various fast food place are less than half that amount and they include soft drinks. While I agree the fish was tasty enough, it was still hard to swallow knowing what I paid. should a craving for fish occur again, I need only remember the cost to dampen my appetite.
