Gave this place a try for the first time as a change of pace from our usual default YYC Chinese buffet, Yangtze. From what I could find out about the place (prior to going) they had one of the lowest weekend lunch buffet costs I’ve come across ($10.95 per adult, children: $1 per year of age). We showed up right at opening on a Saturday (11:30am) and I’d say the place was half full within the next 15 min and then progressively got busier from there – so get there early. The food spread was great, not the biggest but also not the smallest variety. They had most of the staples and more: wonton soup, hot & sour soup, ginger beef, sweet & sour pork, beef and veggies, two types of spring rolls (the small ones were better), fried tofu, fried rice, chicken and veggie, chicken wings (not the best but were huge), udon noodle stir fry, chow mein, fried dumplings, stir fried green beans. Their desserts tasted so-so , and consisted of: mini lemon tarts, mini apple tarts, chocolate chip cookies, rice crispy squares, deep fried wonton wraps with powered sugar, chocolate cake, carrot cake, jello, chocolate pudding and some sliced fruit. Waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive (clearing plates, filling water) and the food was very tasty and satisfying. Overall a great lunch experience at quite a deal! Will definitely be back!
If I can give this restaurant 0 star, I would. The food is so greasy and salty, just yuck. This restaurant must reheat the food and just serve in the buffet as the rice and noodles are really dry and tasted like microwaved food. Yuck! They charge my 8 months old baby $3 just for sitting there and drinking milk. The waitress didn’t even ask for my baby’s age and charged. This restaurant has the most ridiculous policy of charging $1 per age and minimum $3 charge applies to all babies /children/kids= ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS !!! Highly not recommended to anyone. Lots of place to eat at crowfoot, please think and reconsider before stopping by here! Thanks for reading
This place is fantastic if you get there early. We’ve been a few times for a quick lunch before the Crowfoot gaming meetup that we go to and honestly the earlier you go for the lunch buffet the better. The most recent time, we arrived as the dishes had just come out of the kitchen on the first batch and it was so good we stuffed ourselves silly.I almost couldn’t walk away from my tea…though it turns out I was able to walk away from my purse by accident…Luckily the manager (I think he’s the manager…he certainly acts like he knows his stuff) saw me coming back and watched over it for me!I always go for the delicious wonton soup, ginger beef, and anything else that looks great. The sweet & sour pork is best when it’s fresh from the kitchen and there’s even cinnamon-sugar wontons and jello for dessert…It’s a monthly treat now!
We like it!. We always go here to celebrate a family event. The buffet is very good, and also predictable. Very clean and very good service.
Unbiased review ?. Most persons don’t bother going to a dining place twice if they don’t like it. but you went three times As a returning client of New Dynasty, I have opposite experience than yours that explains why I returned. I don’t know anyone in this New Dynasty, but I found your review self-conflicting and seemingly biased.
Great experience. I dined here regularly as its the only Asian buffet nearby. I like its contemporary upscale atmosphere, tasty food with a good selection & prompt service & attentive server.
It was medium everything. We were hungry and we left full. I liked the vegetable and shrimp the most. Really no dessert that was tasty but that goes with the territory. 6/10.
