Good. Had butter chicken, naan and vegetables. All like you could do at home with store bought naan and sauce. Nothing bad, but not ‘great’ indian cuisine.
I visited swirl Restaurant….and the food n staff was amazing!! Specially Manvi and chef Nitesh..keep up the good work!!
We had a fantastic meal here. Very welcoming service with a delicious variety on the short menu. Selections are all mild but heat can be added on request. The presentation matches the elegance of the cooking.
Delicious food. Met the chef, Chef VIkas, who was a very pleasant man. The butter chicken was in the top 5 I have tasted, and currish lamb was perfect in taste and texture. Would come back!
Amazing food!!!. We had dinner last night at Swril ,it was really delicious food with amazing presentation & very good service .Head chef & service staff suggested us to try the shrimp as appetizer & lamb ,kadai paneer & Korma as main course which were also brilliant. Thank you to the chef & the service staff for the great food & the great service.
An Indian Resturant, Connected to the ALoft Hotel… Genius!. It was the last night of our Canadian Rockies vacation. We love Indian food. We were travel weary. We struck gold– at Swirl. Amazing and yummy Indian, right on site at our hotel. No need to to try and find a place for dinner. It was right there and it did not disappoint. My kids loved the butter chicken and the naan. I absolutely loved the stir fried veggies with paneer. My husband had the dal and it did not disappoint. My daughter loved the soup and she is picky about her Mulligatawny. We decided to celebrate our trip with dessert– and the kheer was elegant and yummy. My son is a purest about his kheer, but he loved the addition of rose water. I had the chili chocolate fondue with fresh fruit– which is more than enough to share, but it was SO good, I ate most of it myself. My tried the trio of sorbets and she was in heaven. I tasted her mango sorbet and it was amazing. The service was wonderful and the chef even came out to visit with us at the end of the meal. This is a new venture for him and his love for food and sharing the flavors of India are clearly evident in his restaurant and menu. His presentation of the dishes also speaks to his time a chef on cruise ships. The food was not only beautiful and tasty but presented like a true labor of love. While it is unlikely we will make it back to Calgary in the near future, I would go back to Swirl in a heartbeat and think you would be missing something very special if you skipped an opportunity to check Swirl out when in Calgary.
Food was delicious. The lemongrass prawns and beef lumpia were fabulous appetizers, and the butter chicken and currish lamb as main entrees were delicious. The lamb was very tender and the butter chicken was delicious. Would highly recommend.
