I came here because the reviews seemed pretty decent and I was craving pizza. And I can say I have yet to find a decent pizza place in Banff. I ordered a veggie pizza and lasagna. The pizza was comparable to Aardvark pizza which I did not enjoy at all. Very bland tasting, not much flavor in the sauce. And just not a huge fan of their crust, I remember it just being hard and crunchy. The lasagna was also not my favorite, I’ve probably had better frozen lasagnas… It had a weird cinnamon taste which at first I could not figure out. When I asked the server what kind of spice they use she told me it was nutmeg… Not your typical lasanga. I just prefer my lasagna to be more tangy than remind me of a pumpkin spice latte.Service was pretty good throughout my visit, unfortunately the food was just not enjoyable.
My family and I especially loved the pizza, there were many different type of toppings we could’ve chosen from- and that’s the only reason why this rating is a 3.0, the pizza was the only thing that we enjoyed. The server we had was very kind, the atmosphere was great, but we ordered the spaghetti and it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t good either. It was served in a very fancy plate or steel pan rather, though the taste was bland. My 11 year old daughter could’ve made the same thing, they literally just boiled up some noodles and mixed in tomato sauce. Not to mention some of the noodles were burnt and overcooked making it hard to chew. Maybe the spaghetti isn’t their specialty but that’s what got our bill up to $100+ which I think wasn’t worth it at all. In conclusion, only get the pizza or try out their other dishes unless you want basic spaghetti.
