Very good food. Try their pizza and fish taco. The punch bowl is a must, 2-3 people can share. Very friendly staff. Glad we tried it here.…

On Saturday evening of last May Long weekend my wife and I decided to try the Pizza at The Bear Street Tavern. When we arrived we were told there would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. It turned out to be over an hour. Once inside the tables are very crowded and the noise level high. I had difficulty hearing our server and my wife. We ordered the Donair Pizza and the Godfather. Both were just ok. They came with honey and chili oil. I am not a big fan of that with pizza. However others in the dining room seemed to enjoy it. My main issue with this restaurant is the price of booze. The cheapest bottle or red wine is $50 and they charge $7.50 for half a pint of beer. That is really high even for Banff. I won’t be rushing back.
Delicious fresh pizza with fresh veggies on top. The layered pulled pork nachos are extremely addicting served with 3 different dips. Also love their sangria bowls!
Pizza was excellent. Tried the rum barrel-brewed cider, which an interesting twist and also very good. Busy place in the off season is always a good sign.
We went on a Tuesday for the $10 calzones and $7.50 cocktails and we’re so grateful we did! Although we both could’ve shared a generously portioned calzone we went all out and got one each. It’s a pretty neat special on a Tuesday where any pizza can be turned into a calzone for $10. They were generously filled and the crispy dough was cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic and the staff were managing very well with the super busy restaurant, I think the Tuesday special seems to be one of the local favourites!
Interesting options but does not deliver on taste. The crust was so bland and unedible. Staff was really helpful but for 19 bucks you would think your pizza better taste pretty good.
