My friend and I came here for brunch yesterday. We did not have a reservation but got there right when they opened (11am) and they were able to seat us at 11:15. The first time I came, we had reservations and were seated right away; I would recommend making reservations prior since this place gets busy quickly. The selection of food is huge, there is a cheese and cracker/salmon/fruit section, seafood section, omelette station, a new Vietnamese section, more seafood and meat carvings like steak/pork/duck/chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta and the breakfast section with eggs benedict, cereal, bacon, hash browns, sausage etc etc the list is endless. If I kept going my review would be too long lol. Oh there is also a dessert and chocolate fountain section! The only thing I missed eating this time around were the huge braised beef ribs 🙁 the first time I came they had them and were delicious. Sadly they didnt have them yesterdayI was really looking forward to that. Make sure you come HUNGRY! Afterwards you can walk off the food-coma exploring this amazingly beautiful and historic castle, just wow.
We stayed at The Fairmont here in Banff & we felt like we were Lord & Ladyof the Scottish Manor. This place is literally a castle in amagic setting. There are numerous places to dine here, but of particular note is the breakfast buffet . Although I didn’t indulge my partner did & gave it the thumbs up. I ordered the tofu ranchero & was suitably impressed with the Mexican appeal of it & loved the service
The breakfast have so many choice and I love the egg bandit. There are also different kind of cheese in the selection! Orange juice are refilled constantly. If you are staying in the Fairmount spring hotel, this breakfast buffet is a must try!
