This is a busy restaurant we went in at 8.30pm and the earliest booking was 9.30. We were a party of six. We went in to try rattlesnake but found out they havent had any for a couple years. So not sure why it is still on the menu. We ordered the soup which was good. We also ordered vege fondue. The fondue was made with kirche which in our opinion was not a good combination and none of it was eaten. The two steaks also were not eaten as they were too dry. The elk and buffalo sausage was enjoyable. We personally wouldnt return or recommend due to the flavours. The food however was fresh.

We drove out to Banff especially for a Grizzly House meal and we were not disappointed! We started with caesar salad and the vegetable fondue – delicious! Followed those with the seafood fondue and Alberta fondue (beef, bison, elk, and venison) that we cooked on the hot rock. Fabulous again! Finished dinner off with ice cream fondue. Tasty! Our server was knowledgable and helpful, and very attentive. While the prices seem high, we have recreated similar fondues and hot rock cooking at home, and appreciate the amount of effort and cost that goes into this meal. Going to Grizzly House is our opportunity to enjoy the meal without all the work. Thanks for another great meal!!

We had lunch there October 12, 2018 and while the service and ambiance were satisfactory, the food was overpriced and very much lacking. The schnitzel was barely edible – very dry and tough. We also ordered the burger with a caesar salad. The burger was dry and underwhelming but the ceasar was perhaps the worst I have ever tasted – just awful.Take a pass on this place — the food is overpriced and of surprisingly poor quality. There are many other better choices in Banff.

I love this place! It’s so comfy and has a really fun atmosphere – warm, friendly and super casual. The food is great! There are lots of options but I love the bison and scallops. Go with friends. That’s the best way to do it.

Cheese Fondue was very tasty, plenty of bread, enough for 3 or 4 as an appetizer. The garlic butter used on the hot stone was very tasty, the seafood was fresh and cooked well. You can add an extra side if you want to try. The shark had normal whitefish texture once cooked but with the very slight ammonia sense when you eat it plain. Overall the service was very attentive and explained the process very well.

Cheese fondue for two was delish. My son had a yummy steak, my husband had the burger and I had a smoked duck salad. Service was a little slow but very pleasant. Ambience is dark and very rustic.

Grizzly House is always my go to when I go to Banff but be prepared to leave smelling like a grill! I especially love the cheese fondue. I usually get the exotic set dinner where you can try a little of alligator, snake, venison and etc then finishing off with chocolate fondue. Service is always good. Ambience is a bit dark. Make sure you make a reservation though. It’s always busy!
