We stayed overnight at the hotel and ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the Bistro this trip. We also ate lunch at the Juniper Bistro a week and a half earlier. Overall, the food was amazing and very well prepared and presented. The only meal I was dissatisfied with was the salmon Benny that I had for breakfast the morning we left. The salmon was extremely salty so I removed it and ate it alone. I can’t say that I enjoyed it as it was way too salty. I then went to eat the Benny without the salmon, but still found it overly salty as the biscuit that it is served on is was also way too salty. On top of this, the potatoes were luke warm. I’ve had these potatoes 3 other times and they have always been crispy, piping hot and delicious. I will eat again at the Bistro, but I will steer clear of the Bennies. The staff at the Bistro were all very friendly and polite.

This high end restaurant has a very cozy feel with large windows that boast a million dollar view of the mountains! I highly recommend that you cross the highway from Banff and have a meal here. Top quality, made from scratch (right down to the delicious jam). The menu here is refreshingly creative. I have had breakfast here as well as dinner and literally wanted to try everything! What I did decide to order for breakfast was the Grilled Avocado with poached egg. Amazing flavor!! The kids breakfast options are also high quality and very large. For dinner we ordered two appetizers (as we could choose just one). The wild mushroom with elderberry and beats was my favorite. Great size to share and again, complex, delicious flavor. The other happy was the scallops. I enjoyed this but other people at my table found the sauce to be too sour. Main course was a braised rib that was cooked to tender perfection, delicious, and presented beautifully. I can’t wait to visit in the summertime and sit on their huge patio overlooking those gorgeous mountains! This is definitely a new favorite restaurant for the Banff area
